Bad, bad me!

I resolve to blog daily and then fall by the wayside again.

I need to get off my rear and JUST DO IT!

Tomorrow is the first....time to weigh, measure and photograph. I know I am down, it will be interesting to see exactly how much and where!

What to Say?

There is not really a lot I can say about today, it was a really uneventful day. I guess as far as this blog goes, the most exciting thing was I ate a wheat tortilla, the first bread type product in almost a month.

I did find an interesting fact though. An avacado can rot inside the peel. Ewww!

B: Kashi GoLean cereal, dry
L: ham, avacado, laughing cow cheese and wheat tortilla wrap, green beans
S: pistachios
D: sloppy joe sans bread, baked zucchinni/onions, salad
S: fudgesickle

I wish there was something more interesting to tell for the day but that was about it.

Oh, an update on my toe. It still hurts like the dickens, I hollered all night anytime something touched it and I would like to avoid putting on a shoe still. Who would have thought all that from tripping over a foot??

Loser!

Yep, that is me, a loser! I lost 3 lbs this week for a grand total of 13 lbs! I am so excited about this because I am losing weight yet I don't really feel like I am being deprived of anything at all. This way of eating is not difficult, makes sense and is easy to do. I also am liking my exercise routine and can't wait until the evenings are longer so I can run easier at a later time.

I could have done better on my food today but it wasn't really awful either. My main problem area continues to be water intake. It is hard to push water when I am not thirsty and it is cold outside. I am hoping for the habit to take hold soon where I don't have to think about it and still be drinking a lot.

B: oatmeal - I made this overnight in a small crockpot and it worked out really well
L: salad with avacado, broccoli slaw, turkey, sunflower seeds and dressing, 1/4 cup Pistaccio
S: Pistachios
D: Scrambled eggs, 1 link sausage, 2 whole grain pancakes with 3 tbls maple syrup
S: fudgesickle

I think I may have broken a toe this evening tripping barefoot over my husband's shoe (with his foot still in it). It hurts like the dickens and we will see how it is tomorrow when I put on my running shoes. If it is still hurting, guess I will do my WATP tapes but barefoot.

Busted!

Here I resolve to blog daily and the first chance I get, I blew it!

In my own defense, I spent the day yesterday helping my husband shift 4 bedrooms around. All of our kids changed rooms and roommates and it was a major undertaking. We did go out to dinner but I did well.

Saturday
B: steel cut oatmeal with splenda, cinnamon and nutmeg
L: leftover Thai pork w/salad for lunch
D: lean steak, salad, mushrooms and mixed veggies
S: 13 (yes, only 13) Milk Duds during a movie

Sunday
B: 2 eggbeater omelette w/Canadian Bacon
L: leftover steak, mushrooms, veggie chips
D: Pistaccio, acorn squash, salad
S: thin slice of birthday cake

I am planning on trying to get exercise done in the morning as well as the evening starting tomorrow. Tomorrow is also a weigh in day.

Bad Habit

Apparently I have gotten out of the blogging habit and I need to kick my butt back into gear and do it DAILY. Of course, no one ever comments so who knows if anyone besides me is even reading this? It is okay, this is mainly for me anyway.

March 11

L: 2 egg omelette with shredded enchilada chicken, cheese, salsa and quacamole
D: spaghetti sauce, spaghetti squash, grilled zuchinni and onions, salad
S: fudgesickle

March 12
B: Steel cut oatmeal
S: cheese stick
L: grilled chiken breast, salad (you get the picture of what I normally put in a salad)
D: Thai Pork...with asparagus, green beans, broccoli, onions, cauliflower and artichoke hearts...yummy stuff and enough for lunch tomorrow!
S: Chocolate FF SF pudding

I have been lax on exercise since I have been sick and kiddies have been sick. I plan to push hard this weekend though so I can see a difference on Monday!

Goodness!

I am more than a week behind in updates here...eeeep!

Not to worry though because, dear readers, I have been faithful in following my plan of attack. I have been eating the way I should and I have been doing my exercise. I wish I could say I saw the scale move down but alas, nope. On a positive note though, I was able to wear a dress that I have not worn in several years because it was just a wee bit too tight to be comfortable.

I have my menus of what I ate for the week that I didn't blog. You know, I meant to blog and just didn't get around to it. Bad me.

2.7 miles

That doesn't sound really that far but try doing it while pushing 100 lbs of stroller and kids uphill...then it feels a lot further! In any event, that is the amount that I went and ran this morning. It was about 50 when I went out and I had on a longsleeved shirt under my t-shirt. About half way through the run, I stopped long enough to take off the long sleeve shirt before I keeled over from being too hot.

My 2 year old had gotten up too early this morning and about half way through the route, he fell asleep. His 1 year old sister was very content to just watch things go by and play with a rattle while her mom sweat behind her.

I did better on my water today but I really, really need to push it.

B: cottage cheese
S: pistachios
L: turkey wrap with boston lettuce, avocado, Laughing Cow and mustard
S: nothing
D: baked chicken, salad and broccoli
S: Sugar free Eskimo Pie

Tomorrow will be tough to get in my exercise since I have to go grocery shopping. I would normally be doing my morning exercise then but I guess I can do it in the afternoon. I just hate grocery shopping so try to get there right when the store open.

Weigh In!

Yep, another day to pull out the scale and step up on. Will I be down, will I be up, will it not have changed? I am pleased to say that it went down another 1.5 lbs to make a grand total of 10 lbs lost! Woo hoo!

My husband decided to take part in the Boot Camp and as part of that, he joined me in doing South Beach. Today was his first day. Since I am actually almost ready for Phase II, I decided to stay on Phase I with him.

B: yougurt with cinnamon and nutmeg
S: none
L: salad with artichoke heart, cucumber, broccoli, ham, cheese and dressing
S: pistachios
D: orange roughy, eggplant and salad
S: sugar free jello

I also am trying to drink more water and still not doing well. I think I may try to do Crystal Lite tomorrow and see if I have better luck.
